Karzai Owns the White House Press Corps.

Today, in a joint press conference, the Preisdent and Presiden Karzai of Afghanistan were asked about the war on Terror.

Below is a transcript of what transpired.

Rush: We have the Hamid Karzai bite. Here's the question from some info babe named Jennifer. (doing sniveling reporter impression) "Even after hearing that one of the major conclusions like, you know what I mean, of the National Intelligence Estimate in April was that the Iraq war has fueled terror growth around the world, why have you continued to say, Mr. President, that the Iraq war is, you know what I mean, made this country safer?"

KARZAI: Terrorism was hurting us way before Iraq or September 11th. The president mentioned some examples of it. These extremist forces were killing people in Afghanistan and around the world for years, closing schools, burning mosques, killing children, uprooting vineyards, vine trees, grapes hanging on them, forcing populations to poverty and misery. They came to America on September 11th, but they were attacking you before September 11th in other parts of the world. We are a witness in Afghanistan to what they are and how they can hurt. You are a witness in New York. Do you forget people jumping off the 80th floor or 70th floor when the planes hit them? Can you imagine what it will be for a man or a woman to jump off that high? Who did that? And where are they now? And how do we fight them, how do we get rid of them? Other than going after them. Should we wait for them to come and kill us again? That's why we need more action around the world, in Afghanistan and elsewhere, to get them defeated. Extremism, their allies, terrorists, and the like.

People will Believe any Lie…

There is a movement by individuals in America who wish to claim that the events of 9/11 didn't occur in the way that they did and as such was actually some sort of big government conspiracy. What is even more frightening and just down right ridiculous is that these individuals wish to call themselves part of the "Truth" Movement. First to hold onto the fact that government was somehow actually responsible for the deaths of 3,000 plus Americans is not only disturbing, it is also one of the sickest displays of irrationality currently on display. These individuals, by holding onto these views demean the very people who were killed that day, in addition to the brave men and women who lives were sacrificed as they attempted to rescue those who were trapped in the buildings.

What is even worse is the complete ignorance of reality in order to come up with this irrational theory. Reality cannot be recreated and yet this is what these individuals are attempting to do by pursuing this type of theory. What is worse is that these individuals not only in their wishful whim of trying to recreate reality are in fact asserting that this is in fact “truth.” The truth as such relies on two very key and important bedrocks upon which to be built. The first is the acceptance of reality and that reality cannot be changed despite what whim ridden fancy might enter into ones head. The other is a commitment to use reason while drawing from the facts of reality to reach sound conclusions about the facts reality presents and thus coming to an understanding of the truth.

These individuals follow neither of these two important aspects of reaching the truth. They wish to ignore reality and attempt to recreate it and once any individual attempts a recreation of reality, the only path this can lead an individual down is the path of irrationality and most definitely will not lead to the truth. I don’t’ know what is more disturbing though, this aversion of reality and the truth, or the fact that there is actually many people who think similar thoughts and believe the lies that are created.

Yet, I am reminded of Terry Goodkind’s Wizard’s First Rule:

Wizards First Rule: People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it’s true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it is all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet are confident they can, and so are all the more easier to fool.

Here is a case study for the stupid people who have fallen for the lie that is the recreation of reality and want to believe in this recreation of reality.

A Game of Chess

The actions taken on the War on Islamic Fascism over the course of the past several years, since the horrific actions of September 11^th, can be compared to a game of chess. Chess, a game of critical thought and strategy making, is a game that requires a player to surround the King on the board and prevent it from actually being able to move and get out of check, thus, putting the king into checkmate and the game coming to a successful end.

There are many strategies in which one can put into play to reach a successful checkmate. Yet, any part of any strategy in a game will entail the removal of an opponent’s key pieces from the board. Unlike, checkers though, it is not important to remove all of an opponent’s pieces in order to get a required checkmate with the game becoming increasingly difficult if removal of all pieces actually occurs, a stalemate happens.

Yet, how does this all apply to the War on Islamic Fascism and the strategy that Bush has taken on the War? It is because Bush is playing a wonderful game of chess. As stated in a game of chess the purpose of it is get the king into checkmate. The king in the War on Islamic Fascism is not Osama Bin Laden, nor is it Afghanistan or Iraq. No, the King in this game of chess is Iran, and it has always been Iran. Iran is the source country during the course of the last 30 years for the poison that brainwashes the Jihadist fighters that are willing martyrs for the cause spelled out by the religious leaders.

So, if Iran is the King that must be taken out and put into checkmate, why was it not the primary target? It lies in the strategy in a game of chess. In chess you don’t automatically attack the king, but put your pieces into key positions while taking out the opponent’s pieces. This first step was taken by Bush by the removal of the Taliban Government and putting Osama Bin Laden on the run into the mountains. Osama Bin Laden though an important piece, a knight, in the game of chess being played, he is not the most important piece and as stated to win a game chess the removal of all pieces is not a requirement . Afghanistan though is a key piece, a bishop, and it was necessary to remove the Taliban and free the people of Afghanistan and allow them the freedom of a government that will no longer be a tyranny.

The next move from the removal of the Taliban then was not to move onto Iran and try to checkmate the king. It is impossible to checkmate with only one piece, thus Bush made the next move in this game and took out another valuable bishop in Iraq. Iraq though never an ally of Iran, needed to be taken out as Saddam Hussien would have posed a serious threat in any attempt of trying to take out Iran. It would be folly to try to checkmate the King when there is a bishop in the corner ready to stop the checkmate from happening.

In any game of chess it is important to understand that it is not an easy game to play and difficulties during the game will always appear. It is no different in this game of chess as the opponents are sending out its various knights, rooks, and pawns into the two regions that have been taken over in attempts to reclaim these two key pieces in this game. Thus, before moving onto the king, the knights and other pieces in the game need to be dealt with in the two regions that have been captured. It is also important to protect the Queen from being taken away in this game of chess.

So what is the Queen in this game of chess? It is the freedom, liberty, and chance given the individuals to live a life as they see fit. For this is what this game of chess is truly about and why the knights and pawns of the opposing king are fighting so vigorously to reclaim the terroritories taken. It is the desire of the opponent in this game to have supreme control with brute force over the lives of other individuals. Once the kings oppsoing forces are dealt wiht by the Queen and the knights thus securing the board. It is onl then that the Queen's influence will be able to spread into the King's own terroritory, a terroritory that is hungering for the gifts the Queen is able to give. Then, this game of chess will truly be over and the King Checkmated, and checkmated the King needs to be for this game of chess is to dear to lose, for that will mark the end of civilization.
